Empowering communities through NSS and Legal Aid initiatives.
Extension Activities
NSS:
Our college is endowed with an NSS Unit, sanctioned by Krishna University, comprising 100 student volunteers. We motivate and train NSS Volunteers to engage actively in community development and social service activities. Our students have always been at the forefront, participating enthusiastically in NSS programmes and activities, making them socially responsive and conscientious citizens.
Participation in these programmes not only broadens their knowledge of community service but also instills a sense of responsibility towards societal welfare. The NSS Unit has successfully organized activities like Sapling (tree) Plantation, Clean and Green Drives, Plastic-Free Surroundings Campaigns, Republic Day, Independence Day, Teachers Day, World Environment Day, Voluntary Blood Donation, International Literacy Day-Week, NSS Foundation Day, International Volunteers Day, National Integration Day, World AIDS Day, International Non-Violence Day, and Human Rights Day, with spirited volunteer participation.
Legal Aid:
To promote access to justice for the poor and marginalized, and as part of its clinical legal education programme, the college has established a Legal Aid Clinic. The clinic aims to conduct legal literacy campaigns in rural areas involving faculty, students, and alumni-advocates, educating people about their legal rights and remedies.
The clinic provides counselling, free legal advice, and legal aid in deserving cases with the help of the local bar association, faculty, and alumni—particularly in matters concerning consumer grievances, family disputes, and service issues.
